Just blinking
I always feel what the difference between failure and success it is a thin line becausw the succeses of today were failures yesterday but the difference is the ability to believe in yourself there is a tale of 3 losers i know the general thing they all have is lack of self belief it is not an inbuilt attribute but it is needed in life because in this life there is no excuse for failure because only the best is good enough to succeed in life

Why i love politics #1
One thing i have learnt in life is never underestimate anybody politics they say is a dirty game but u believe politics is a game of craft mind and skills i am about to embark on a political journey starting from school it might look like a small step but i know it is a step in the right direction i keep hearing people giving excuses like i dont like politics and other similar excuses even though everyone cannot do politics it pays for people to understand the basis of politics as a game of interest of people who are able to make a difference and get power by either hook or crook I dream of being a senator and even peharps the president of my country one day but one thing i see is that in my country politics is a dirty game but me i believe with the right set of mind frame not about self interest but common interest its not about dictatorship but partnership i will be able to have a set of principles that will help me to attain my goals and aspiration in politics but now on school i feel that being the gen sec of my department is a right step in the right direction so help me God

DR OLOWO : what causes infertility in ladies
About 10 percent of reproductive-age couples in the Nigeria will have difficulty
getting pregnant. About 30 percent of cases
are due to fertility problems in the woman, 30
percent to fertility problems in the man, and the rest to unexplained causes or multiple
factors involving both partners.
If you've had regular, unprotected sex for more than a year without conceiving, see your doctor .
The National Infertility Association says at
least half of those who have an infertility
evaluation and treatment will be able to have
a successful pregnancy. Endometriosis is a condition that occurs
when tissue found in the uterine lining (called
endometrial tissue) grows outside your
uterus, usually in the abdominal-pelvic
cavity.
Possible symptoms: Some women have no
symptoms, while others have painful
menstrual periods or intercourse, heavy
bleeding or unusual spotting, and general
pelvic pain.
Possible solutions: Surgery to remove
endometrial tissue, fertility drugs with
artificial insemination , fertility drugs with
artificial insemination , surgery to remove
abnormal tissue or unblock tubes, assisted
reproductive technologies (ART) , or adoption
Success rates: Up to 40 percent of women
conceive (either naturally or with treatment)
after having surgery. When fertility drugs to
increase egg production are combined with
artificial insemination, the success rate is
between 9 and 15 percent per cycle. The success rate per cycle with a form of ART called in vitro fertilization (IVF) averages around 35 percent.
Ovulation problems
An ovulation problem is any condition
(usually hormonal) that prevents a mature egg from developing in your ovaries. Possible symptoms: Absent or infrequent periods and abnormally light or heavy bleeding. Possible solutions: Fertility drugs and IVF, or adoption. Success rates: About 40 percent of women receiving clomiphene citrate to induce ovulation become pregnant over the course of
treatment (usually three to six cycles).
Poor egg quality
The quality and number of eggs your ovaries
produce – naturally or with fertility treatment
– often declines significantly with age.
Possible symptoms: None.
Possible solutions: IVF using donor eggs or
embryos , or adoption
Success rates: Women who have IVF using
donor eggs have an approximate 50 percent
chance of having a baby per IVF cycle.

BREAKING NEWS! Obasanjo dumps PDP, tears membership card
Former Nigerian president Olusegun
Obasanjo has dumped the ruling Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), stating that, he is
no longer interested being a member.
He reportedly tore his PDP membership
card and said he would continue to serve
Nigeria as a statesman.
Obasanjo has faced a barrage of criticisms
and abuses from PDP stalwarts and aides
of President Goodluck Jonathan, after he
alerted the nation Saturday on a creeping
agenda by Jonathan to win the postponed
election by hook or crook and plunge
Nigeria into war, as done by Ivory Coast’s
former leader, Laurent Gbagbo.
After he left office in 2007, Obasanjo was
chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees,
but also resigned the position.
For some years, he has declined to play
front-bench role in the party, insisting he
will operate at the ward level.
The former president recently endorsed
the candidate of the opposition All
Progressives Congress, Maj. General
Muhammadu Buhari from courtesy of

Read how a Funaab student played with a lecturer intelligence
This scene happened in colanim last week A student playing with his teacher's
intelligence asked thus:
STUDENT: Sir, can I ask a question?
LECTURER: Yes!
STUDENT: How can one put an elephant inside
the fridge?
LECTURER: I don't know.
STUDENT: It's easy, you just open the fridge
and put it in there. I have another question!
LECTURER: Ok, ask.
STUDENT: How can one put a donkey inside
the fridge?
LECTURER: It's easy, you just open the fridge
and put it in there.
STUDENT: No sir, you just open the fridge take
out the elephant and put it in there
LECTURER: Ooh... ok!
STUDENT: If all the animals went to the lion's
birthday party with one animal missing, which
animal would it be?
LECTURER: The lion of course because it would
eat all the animals.
STUDENT: No sir, it's the donkey because it's
still inside the fridge.
LECTURER: Are you kidding me?
STUDENT: No sir, one more last question.
LECTURER: Ok!
STUDENT: If there's a river of crocodiles and
you want to cross, how would you?
LECTURER: There's no way, I would need a
ladder to cross. STUDENT: No sir, you just
swim and cross it because all the animals
went to the lion's birthday party. Hope you enjoyed it thanks for viewing

5 categories of ladies you will meet in Funaab
Firstly, FUNAAB is the acronym for FEDEREAL
UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE ABEOKUTA.
A Federal University located at Abeokuta, the
capital of Ogun State.
There are different categories of students
you'll see/meet in Funaab, be it Guys or
Ladies. But today my article is based on the
Ladies...
1) The SU Category : Choi! They are very
common and easy to differentiate.. They
always walk with either a Bible or a piece of
paper containing bible verses, sunday school
lectures and more.. They will always walk
up to you just to tell you what Jesus told
them about you last night! in their words
"Brother Olowo Jesus loves you" Did I say he
hates me?
2) Alhaja Bori : 2 4 7 you'll meet them with
their ijabs on.. 90% are humble but one
major thing about them is they carry
everything about school on their head..
Sometimes, you get scared confronting
them.
3) Fancy Alhaja / Pastor (pastress) : Choi!
This category of people will either rock jean
and top with ijabs or you see them on mini
skirt, show me your back and also add their
ijab to it.. While the Fancy Pastress rocks
tight mini skirt, a fitted top that showcases
the bod fig and off earrings claiming to be
D**p*r L*** member. Naso e suppose be?
4) The ones that love serious and loaded
boys : These group of ladies do have
someone they love (Boyfriend) but they still
clinch with other boys all because he's
either Handsome, Brilliant, Loaded or his
room is set. *Clinchers*
5) Lastly, The I.T.K's : By all means they
will always want to prove MRS AM RIGHT
even when their opinions are'nt welcomed.. thanks for viewing pls leave comments about other types of ladies encoutered in funaab

INEC to postpone elections by 6weeks
Nigeria’s electoral commission will
postpone next Saturday’s presidential
and legislative elections for six weeks
to give a new multinational force time
to secure north-eastern areas under
the sway of Boko Haram, an official
close to the commission told the
Associated Press on Saturday.
Millions could be disenfranchised if
the voting went ahead while the
Islamic extremists hold a large swath
of the north-east and commit mayhem
that has driven 1.5 million people
from their homes.
Civil rights groups opposed to any
postponement started a small protest
on Saturday. Police prevented them
from entering the electoral
commission headquarters in Abuja,
Nigeria’s capital. Armed police began
deploying to block roads leading to
the building.
The Nigerian official, who is
knowledgeable of the discussions,
said the Independent National
Electoral Commission would
announce the postponement later on
Saturday. He spoke on condition of
anonymity because of the sensitivity
of the issue.
A major offensive with warplanes and
ground troops from Chad and Nigeria
already has forced the insurgents
from a dozen towns and villages in
the past 10 days. Even greater
military strikes by more countries are
planned.
African Union officials were ending a
three-day meeting Saturday in
Yaounde, Cameroon’s capital, to
finalise details of a 7,500-strong force
from Nigeria and its neighbours Chad,
Cameroon, Benin and Niger. Details of
funding, with the Africans wanting
the United Nations and European
Union to pay, may delay the mission.
Nigeria’s home-grown extremist
group has responded with attacks on
one town in Cameroon and two in
Niger this week. Officials said more
than 100 civilians were killed and 500
wounded in Cameroon. Niger said
about 100 insurgents and one civilian
died in attacks on Friday. Several
security forces from both countries
were killed.
International concern has increased
along with the death toll; some 10,000
have been killed in the uprising in the
past year compared with 2,000 in the
four previous years, according to the
US Council on Foreign Relations.
The United States has been urging
Nigeria to press ahead with the
voting. The US secretary of state, John
Kerry, visited Nigeria two weeks ago
and said that “one of the best ways to
fight back against Boko Haram” was
by holding credible and peaceful
elections, on time.
“It’s imperative that these elections
happen on time as scheduled,” Kerry
said.
Officials in President Goodluck
Jonathan’s administration have been
calling for a postponement.
Any delay is opposed by an
opposition coalition fielding former
military dictator Muhammadu Buhari,
though the opposition stands to take
most votes in the north-east.
Supporters of both sides are
threatening violence if their candidate
does not win. Some 800 people were
killed in riots in the mainly Muslim
north after Buhari, a Muslim, lost
2011 elections to Jonathan, a Christian
from the south.
A postponement will give electoral
officials more time to deliver some 30
million voter cards. The commission
had said the non-delivery of cards to
nearly half of the 68.8 million
registered voters was not a good
reason to delay the vote.
10 signs that show that you are succeding in school
1. Your relationships are less
dramatic than they used to be.
Drama is not maturity. As we age,
we should develop maturity. So
maybe your relationships were
drama-filled in your past, but if you
have moved beyond that, then you
are successful.
2. You are not afraid to ask for
help and support any more.
Asking for help does not equal
weakness. In fact, it is a strength. No
person has ever succeeded in
isolation. It takes teamwork to
accomplish goals. Asking or help is a
sign that you have grown as a
person.
3. You have raised your
standards.
You don’t tolerate bad behavior any
more – from other people, or even
yourself. You hold people
accountable for their actions. You
don’t spend time with the “energy
vampires” in your life anymore.
4. You let go of things that
don’t make you feel good.
No, this is not narcissistic even
though it might seem like it. Self-love
is success. Love yourself enough to
say ‘no’ to anything that doesn’t
make you happy, doesn’t serve your
purpose, or drags you down.
5. You have moments where you
appreciate who you see in the
mirror.
Ideally, you should appreciate who
you see in the mirror at every
moment. But even if that doesn’t
happen, if you do it more than you
used to, then that is success. Love
yourself. You are awesome.
6. You have learned that
setbacks and failure are part of
self-growth.
Not everyone can have success 100%
of the time. That’s just not realistic.
Life is about victories and losses. So
look at your setbacks as stepping
stones to something better. In reality,
there really is no such thing as as
setback. It’s all just part of a
wondrous journey.

Successful People Consciously
Reject
7. You have a support system
that includes people who would
do anything for you.
If you have figured out the people
who “have your back” and
recognized the ones who only
pretend that they do, then you have
succeeded. This is a painful
realization, but once you learn to see
the signs of betrayal, you can stay
away from those people.
8. You don’t complain much.
Because you know there really is
nothing to complain about. Unless
you really have gone through some
horrific life experience and had
unimaginable losses, most of what
we all experience on a day-to-day
basis is just mundane. And successful
people know that. And they live in a
space of gratitude.
9. You can celebrate others’
successes.
Just because other people succeed,
that doesn’t make you a failure.
Applaud the people who rise to the
top. The more positive energy you
give to other people’s victories, the
more you will create your own.
10. You have passions that you
pursue.
You are not stagnant. You know you
have something wonderful to
contribute to the world. You have
unique talents and gifts. Not only do
you know that, you pursue it.
Wisdom of a lone ranger #Expiry date
KNOW YOUR EXPIRY DATE.
It may sound funny if I say people have expiry
date but people really do. Your date in
people's lives expire when you mean
everything to them, you were very close to
them but afterward they begin to treat you less
important than you were to them, they treat
you like a distant stranger, when you become
very boring to them, when you are not the
special person to them as you were before,
when they don't recognize your presence and
importance in their lives like before, when they
begin to take you for granted, when they don't
appreciate your love, the list goes on. When
you realise all these symptoms, you have to
ready and
be prepared to be recycled before you will be
thrown into a trash or dustbin. If your time
expires in other people's lives doesn't mean
that you are useless, just as some materials
that are considered to be useless but when
recycled, can be used to manufacture other
products, so is you when people do not value
your or when your time expired in their lives,
you have to recycle yourself and making sure
that you don't lose your value so that you can
be used in other people's lives.
The fact that people fail to value you doesn't
mean that you don't have value, there are
many people that will treat you the way you
deserve.

What a pity Africans wont change
During the nations cup Equatorial Guinea fans threw objects into the
Ghana end, causing the visiting support to
congregate behind one of the goals and force
the referee to bring a halt to the game
The Africa Cup of Nations semi-final
between Ghana and Equatorial Guinea has
been suspended in the 83rd minute following
violence between rival sets of fans.
The host nation were trailing 3-0 following
goals from Jordan Ayew, Wakaso Mubarak
and Andre Ayew when supporters of the host
nation began hurling bottles into the visiting
support.
As a result, Ghana fans ran down to the
bottom of the stand and congregated behind
one of the goals for their own safety, leading
the referee to suspend the game.
Equatorial Guinea fans then resorted to
throwing objects on to the pitch towards
match officials, before a helicopter flew over
the home support in a bid to halt the
violence.
That intervention led scores of supporters to
leave the stadium, with bottles strewn across
the pitch as the evening descended into
disarray.

NIGERIAN STUDENTS FIGHTS AGAINST NO ELECTION HOLIDAYS BY FG
The decision of the Federal
Government to ensure academic
activities continue in public
schools across the nation has been
greeted with so many criticisms
from students .
The honourable Minister of
Education, Mallam Ibrahim
Shekarau after his meeting with
commissioners for education
nationwide on Monday decided to
dump the idea of giving students
election break so as not to further
disrupt academic calendar.
The minister cited the impromptu
Ebola break whose effect is still
been felt in the sector.
Studentsin nigeria have however chided the
minister and those who sat with
him to take such decision as not
weighing arguments properly before
making their pronouncements.
Even as the Students’ Union leaders
Of most nigerian universities
continue to dance to the gallery on
their own opinion about the much
talked about election break
whenever they are asked, for example the studient Union
President of OAU, Ibikunle Isaac Motunrayo
confirmed to the media yesterday
that students of OAU do not need to
be given any election break.
Ibikunle’s comment of ‘no election
break’ for OAU students has further
heightened and heated arguments
among students as to why the
Students’ Union president has to say
such thing without consulting the
students as such matter relates
directly to their welfare.
“This is a criminal way of
supporting the disenfranchisement
of Great nigerian students in the coming
elections” a student said.
Other argument raised by students
is that they are involved in the
electioneering process.
For those that are not part of the
electorates, they will be serving as
electoral officers in their various
states.
“I registered for the INEC adhoc job
because of the money involved so
that I will be able to pay the
increased school fees come next
semester but with the no election
break announcement, I am seriously
confused” a funaab student
lamented.
Some other students who expressed
fear over what may ensue after the
February 14 poll believe it is not
sane for any authority to keep her
students in school when the Federal
Government will not be providing
additional security to protect lives
and properties.
“I pray we have a peaceful election
but anything can happen and so, we
should see beyond now.
2011 is still fresh in memory! What
will the school authorities do if any
violence breaks out after the
election? Disperse students into the
violence? You see the decision to
keep students in school is not
making any sense” a student said.
The nigerian university commission (NUC)
management as at the time of filing
this report is yet to say anything on
the election break as the Senate
plans to meet before Friday.
However, there are fears that the
management might adopt the
Federal Government’s decision not
even when the Students’ Union
leaders are supporting the same idea
at the expense of popular demands
of the students. Courtesy Cnn.com

i had started enjoying campus life,my
own personal life had really changed, as
a 100level student,i was introduced to a
lot of characters, the good, the bad, and
the handsome, although i related free
with everyone,i still carried a burden in
my chest,a scar in my heart and hate in
my mind.
I listened with great attention at my
opponent,who spoke with authority like
he wrote the textbook himself…
damn, this stupid lecturer had given us a
presentation to present, and in all the
students around,he chose this brilliant
dude to be my opponent.
He spoke and quoted with authority, he’s
speech,fluent like that of obama.
I couldn’t help but notice that he was
equally handsome. I guess i must have
seen him around,probably flirting with
one of those loose girls,i didn’t really
know much about him.
“Thank you mister kingsley”
,the lecturer spoke out, after the nerdy
handsome guy had finished his
presentation, hmmmn, his name was
“kingsley”, like i cared! Durrrh!!..
I came out and stood in front of the
class and began my presentation, but
while i was at it, i felt what i said really
didn’t make any point, it seemed the
“kingsley” or whatever he was called,
had taken all the glory with his charisma
and “textbook quoted” speech.. besides,
am not a girl that likes to lose,
especially when it relates to book stuff,
because am a bookworm, and i would
really feel so awful if i come to lose this
presentation.
My fears were brought to reality, when
the lecturer announced the winner of the
presentation.. shit i lost, another blow to
my face, i felt as if something was stolen
from me..instantly i
developed a bit of transgression towards
kingsley.
I had already picked up my bag and was
heading out of the class when someone
held my hand.
I turned around, it was no other person
than…. KINGSLEY . Courtesy of funaabgist.com

My excitement knew no bounds that
fateful Monday morning, as i got dressed
and prepared for my first lecture in
Funaab.
I stood by looking at the mirror, which
made me reflect on my life and who i
have grown to become. Physically, i was
a very beautiful damsel with qualities
wanted by every man. my beauty knew
no limits as i could make the toughest of
hearts melt because of my beauty. Till
today,i believe my beauty could be
compared to that of “delilah” who made
the great samson fall.
I quickly applied my makeup and
hurriedly left for my proposed faculty of
learning.
I had started amassing lots of friends
two weeks later,including male admirers
who i had a great tinge of hatred for…
boys irritated me. most of the boys were
even afraid to talk to me because of my
rudeness.
jeez, I HATE BOYS,infact, the mere
thought of anything that had a tail
between it legs got me irritated, anytime
i remembered what i had gone through in
men’s hands,sent a cold shiver down my
spine.
I chose to forget, but never forgive as i
hoped to one day revenge on the
trespasses sinned against me by the so
called “men”. Now,my main purpose to
achieve is reading my books, making a
1st class in my Department and not
allowing any
ANIMAL wit TAILS distract me!
By the way,my name is BECKY,i had
finished my secondary school,four years
back wit a record of the highest
scoring student in my waec result, with
wat Nigerians call A1 parallel….na
Beans??,my beauty could be equated to
my brilliancy,as i was the best
graduating student back then.
Well,we all know how things happen in
Naija,gaining admission to the university
wasn’t a matter of brilliancy, probably
luck or connections…one thing or the
other,was the problem
every year, either my course of study was
competed for by other students,or my
course was changed which i had to
differ…
Age was no longer by my side,as i just
clocked 20 years last two months,but i
was still very young, needless to say,i
wasn’t even hurrying to get married..i
didn’t think i would sef, because of
my hatred for men…this year i had
gained admission into the federal
university of agriculture, Abeokuta , with
my preferred Course of study.. Animal
Production and Health
My joy couldn’t be described as there
was no unit of measure to my level of
happiness.
Little did i know, what the future laid in
store for me.. courtsey of funaabgist.com

UTI the latest disease in town
Urinary tract infection?
What is the permanent SOLUTION? and where
can we get TOTAL CURE? A urinary tract
infection that is not treated can lead to a more
serious infection of the kidneys. The bacteria
may travel up the ureters and infect the
kidneys. Normal urine contains no bacteria
(germs).But, Sometimes, bacteria from outside
the body get into the urinary tract, and cause
infection and inflammation. A urinary tract
infection causes the lining of the urinary tract
to become red and irritated, which may
produce some of the following symptoms: Pain
in the abdomen or pelvic area. Pressure in the
lower pelvis. Frequent need to urinate
(frequency). Painful urination (dysuria). Urgent
need to urinate (urgency). Incontinence (urine
leakage). The need to urinate at night.
Abnormal urine color (cloudy urine). Blood in
the urine. Pain during sex. Penis or vaganal
pain. Strong or foul-smelling urine. Anyone
can get a urinary tract infection, but they are
more common in women. This is because the
urethra in females is shorter and closer to the
anus. If you get frequent urinary tract
infections, your doctor may do tests to check
for other health problems—such as diabetes or
an abnormal urinary system—that may be
contributing to your infections.
There are some steps you can take to reduce
your risk of developing a urinary tract
infection: 1. Follow good hygiene practices of
the genital area (especially women). After a
bowel movement, the genitals should be wiped
from front to back to reduce the chance of
dragging E. coli bacteria from the rectal area
to the urethra. 2. Urinate frequently. This
flushes bacteria out of the bladder and may
reduce the risk of cystitis in those who are
prone to urinary tract infections. Drinking
plenty of fluids encourages frequent urination.
Avoid fluids and foods that irritate the bladder,
such as alcohol, citrus juices, drinks
containing caffeine and spicy foods. Also
avoid smoking during this time. 3. Urinate
immediately before and after sex. This may
help flush out bacteria that may have been
introduced during intercourse. Wash the
genital area before having sex. 4. Drink at
least 6-8 glasses of water a day 5. Wear
cotton underwear 6. Avoid tight-fitting clothing
and pantyhose
Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of
the uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries. It is the
most common serious infection among young
women. It is the most common cause of
infertility. The infection can cause tissue
inside the fallopian tubes to become scarred,
which can damage the fallopian tubes or block
them completely. The more often a woman
gets this infection, the greater her risk of
becoming infertile.
Pelvic inflammatory disease usually develops
in a two-stage process. First, the organisms
infect the cervix (opening of the uterus). Then,
the bacteria migrate up to the uterus, fallopian
tubes or ovaries. This PID is common in
women younger than age 25 who have more
than one sex partner. Women who have had
an STD have a higher risk of getting pelvic
inflammatory disease, as do those who have
already had a previous pelvic infection. Any
woman whose sex partner has more than one
sex partner is also at increased risk of pelvic
infection.
The most common symptoms include: Pain in
the pelvis and lower abdomen. Discharge from
the vagina with an unpleasant odor. Pain
during sexual intercourse. A burning feeling
when urinating. Bleeding or spotting between
periods or bleeding after sex. Women who are
in stable sexual relationships with only one
partner have very little risk if neither person
was infected with an STD from a previous
partner. Because most cases of pelvic
inflammatory disease are linked to STDs,
treating a woman's sex partners is essential to
prevent repeat infections. All recent sex
partners of a woman with pelvic inflammatory
disease should be examined by a doctor and
treated as if they had both gonorrhea and
chlamydia. A woman with pelvic inflammatory
disease should not have sex again until her
sex partners have been treated.

Couples life in youth
The weather where I am is crazy!! I mean crazy. The way I dress now, one would think I were in Russia and each time I go to bed, one thing comes to mind; weather for two.
I would give anything to spoon with a guy all night buy nah! I'd rather cover myself with the the blood of Jesus in addition to my duvet.
Co-habiting is also known as "couple's life" in Nigeria. When I was in university, the pattern was very predictable. The love birds few weeks into the relationship would start spending nights together then either the girl would drop her bra, the next day it's her hairbrush, the next her top till she moves in finally.
Most of my relationships were LDR but the guy I dated in my school knew my stand because I told him point blank that I would have none of that. The highest we did was spend the night together.
The truth is over the years, I've talked to lots of guys and I asked them if they'll eventually marry that girl they are cohabiting with and lovelies, 99% gave me an emphatic NO and the premise is "why buy the cow when I can have the milk for free?".
As much as we might like to brand them heartless, statistics have shown that most times, it is we the female that will always lose out (aren't we mostly disadvantaged when it comes to most of these issues anyways?) so why not use your head and avoid becoming an addition to that statistics??
I honestly do not know what advantage(s) lie in cohabiting because most times, the girl has to cook, clean etc and the only thing the guy might have to offer is maybe free house, stipends and sex which most times would be forced whether she feels like it or not and for someone like me who has scoin scoin, we go fight tire because I can't be performing wife duties for a boyfi so I'd rather not engage in it to avoid stories that touch.
So now, it's over to you dear readers. What are the advantages, disadvantages etc of cohabiting? Ever done it??
